Character Perspectives:
Andi: Andi will feel a lot different about the show than many of the men will. She came onto the show looking for love, and feels very offended when one of the men sees a different side of her. Andi also expects all of the men to be open. She goes through the show with an entirely different experience, as she has men competing for her, and she is not competing with other women. At the same time, Andi knows how the men feel because she has been on The Bachelor before. The Men: Almost all of the men on The Bachelorette have not been on the show before, so the show is somewhat out of their comfort zone. A lot of the men will judge Andi, and the show seems like a competition for many of them. They have a lot more drama most of the time, as the rivalry between the guys heats up. |
Viewer Perspectives:
Men Vs. Women: The population of women viewers for The Bachelorette is a lot higher than the population of men, so the two genders often interpret the show differently. Many men think that the show is really sad for the 25 men or women on the show, or men think that everyone on the show is stupid. Women love romance stories, so they like to watch the show to see how the Bachelorette will find love. When people talk about the show, most women like the show, while most men don't even get while the women are talking about the show. Adults Vs. Children: The show can have very mature content, so children shouldn't watch the show a lot. Children won't really get how inappropriate some parts of the show can be, while adults will understand the show. People Who Watch the Show Vs. People Who Don't: People who don't watch the Bachelorette will often judge the show based off what they believe it is to be about. People can't really know how the show works until they actually watch it. This is also a major reason for why men and women view the show differently, as women actually watch the show before they judge it. |
